Minimum Two persons -One in cockpit and one in THS Compartments

Lockwired caps marked in the RED BOX above in the picture are to be cut and removed to install a Jamming Tool(shown in pic below)on the shaft spline of the control shaft.

THS Jamming Test:-

Four Tests are to be done

(1)Elec.Mode RH VALVE BLOCK- TOOL MARKS A/C N UP,

(2)Elec.Test LH VALVE BLOCK- TOOL MARKS A/C N UP,

(3)Mech Mode LH VALVE BLOCK-LH A/C N DN,

(4)Mech Mode,RH VALVE BLOCK-RH A/C N DN 

Gap to be checked between input plate and Ball carrier.This is behind the valve control Shaft.Gap must not be exceeding 1.2mm.

Reference mark is on the control valve detent.

Step 1:-

Alignment of the Left and Right control Valve detents:-

Put one end of the Jamming tool on the splined end of the Valve control shaft,

Use the tool side N UP or N DN  mark of the Jamming tool that puts the spigot nearest to the recess,

Turn the mechanical input of the THS ACTUATOR until the jamming tool goes into the recess.

If the Jamming tool is installed with the side LH or RH with A/C N DN marks,turn the mechanical input clockwise until the detent is centred with a click sound.

If the Jamming tool is installed with the LH or RH with A/C N.UP Marks,turn the mechanical input CCW until the detent is centred with a click sound.

If it is not centred then turn the mechanical input until you get Click 

sound.

Step 2:-Depressurised the hydraulic and ELAC 1,SEC1 ON 23VU & ELAC2 &SEC 2 are released so that OFF light comes ON.

Now,follow AMM TASK for the test procedures.

Once all  the four  tests are performed,normalised the Aircraft.

RE-FUELING WITH MANUAL PLUNGER OVERRIDE

An access platform of 13 feet is required to position below the re-fueling panel 522JB(7QU) Or 622JB(8QU)

For CTR TANK we need to open RH LDG GEAR.

Open the panel by opening its 8 screws.

Minimum Two persons are required to do the refueling.

One person is to be positioned at 192MB 

panel to monitor fuel

Another at 622JB panel to push the plunger to open the refuel valve.

and 3rd one inside the cockpit as per company requirements.

Re-fueling starts to the affected tanks as long as one presses/overrides the plunger as shown above in the picture.

Discard Cargo Fire Extinguisher Water absorbing Filter

Move inside the Aft Cargo and remove the partition wall of Aft Cargo RHS panel (Fwd looking Aft) at Frame 65.(Panel 161DW)

Inside one can see (in figure below) that both the Fire Ex bottle are placed side by side in RHS (Fwd looking aft)

Open the cartridge bowl by rotating it ccw by hand after cutting the lock wire.Remove the filter then remove O-Ring placed inside the bowl by use of any tool then replace the filter with new one.

Note:-Water Filter is an activated element hence it is to be installed within 30sec after unpacking it.

Manual test of FAV:-

Open the Rod end connecting actuator bolt and move rod in and out.Check for free movement of the FAN AIR VALVE.

FAN AIR VALVE ACTUATOR(9HA1/9HA2)

Step 1-Disconnect the Electrical contractor 

Step 2-Disconnect the sense line

Step 3-Remove the screw that attach Rod end and Actuator

Step-3 Bold the actuator and loosen the Nut 7,refer pic above.

Step 4 Disengage the pin of the actuator from the support bracket and remove the actuator 

Follow respective AMM for accomplishment of the job.
