ENGINE STALL IN FLIGHT

ENGINE STALL

A Quick Guide to LM Engineers certifying the Aircraft where he come across a snag of ENGINE 1/2
STALL in FLIGHT and P/R:-
Audible Engine Stall while No ECAM Warning
 or
Stall at N2 speed at or Above Idle in Flight or 
Stall passing Flight level 270 or 350 etc....

Follow the steps as a quick reference but must refer your applicable TSM TASK.

It is mandatory to c/o TSM Task 73-00-00-810-866A and must report even if it is in PFR
 and not mentioned as P/R.
STEP 1

REMOVE  CVR & Must do BSI prior to next Departure.

Note for Line Engineer:-
This task does not give you relaxation of even 01 flight back to base without carrying out BSI and relevant  troubleshooting task alongside removal of CVR.

REMOVAL OF SSFDR may be defer to the base but must make a DMR entry.

STEP 2

Check PFR & FADEC SMR FAILURE msg for VSV,T12,T25,PS3,HMU,VBV,TBV,RACSB and do the applicable troubleshooting.

STEP 3

Check for PRV & Solenoid Bleed Pr Regulating Valve(10HA1/10HA2)  and do the troubleshooting accordingly.

STEP4

If nothing found, Visually inspect  IP CHECK VALVE
If IP Check Valve OK

STEP 5

Inspect for T25 sensor

STEP 6

If T25 sensor found OK,

STEP 7
Replace Engine for investigation

STALL ON GROUND OR BELOW IDLE FOLLOW THE TSM as under:-
73-00-00-810-865A
