INDIA GATE

Visiting India Gate
.....To have fun or to relieve stress This is just an opposite to it.Visiting India Gate is really inviting tension for your self. Light to India Gate will be put off at 22:30.Anyone who wants to get photograph with the India Gate then it is not possible if arrives around 22:30. Public conveyance to the place is not that easy as no one would like to start from home in the evening and roam around till late hours. One who stays till 00:00 hrs will not get the public conveyance so easily. The only option will be to get into Auto or Taxi. Going by your own car;it is very difficult to get parking and is located at MAN SINGH ROAD.Once you get your park you land up in great trouble as to locate a proper place of seating on ground. It seems that ground is kept purposefully wet. From 23:30 onward police van will start asking people around to vacate the entire area. Inspite of all these problems one can observe a huge rush and people are packed all around the area and is a big picnic spot. After having dinner at the place the left out are left behind the same place instead using the dust bin. This gives a very bad impression and a total failures of "SWACHATA ABHIYAN" conceptualize by our PM. There needs volunteers to lift their garbage and educate them.

SOCIAL SECURITY

This was overdue since years as there was no security to a large pie of our population who are working in an unorganized sector and dependent for their livelihood. 1st time ever after independence government of India had taken a firm steps towards the welfare and security of our weaker sections working in an unorganized sector by launching schemes namely Pradhan Mantri Jivan jyouti, Pradhan Mantri suraksha insurance & Atal Pension yojna recently. These schemes launched by PM are really going to be a great help to the people of our country. Now,This is our responsibility towards those who are associated with our family whom we have engage to do our work and in weaker section must let them know such a scheme and assist them to avail the facility. Let our common citizen feel to be proud of being Indian and bring them in mainstream of nation's building without any fear of future.

LIGHT POLLUTION

LIGHT POLLUTION
…….. A new threat to our life
Light pollution first made news in 1964, when an observatory was specially placed just to avoid light pollution. However, it wasn’t brought to the attention of most people until June 6, 2002, when the Czech Republic passed the world’s first light pollution law. Since then, light pollution is slowly being recognized by the general public as a major problem.
Type of LIGHT POLLUTION:-
Sky glow, Light Trespass, Over-illumination, Clutter and Glare
Light pollution stops migrating birds of having any way of seeing the moon and stars, they need to use to navigate the direction of their migration, therefore not being able to migrate to the correct place.
Also, sea turtles do not come to shore and nest as often, because they are afraid of the lights. It also affects animal’s eyes as a flash of camera weakens the eyesight of animals.
Glare:- causes sleep problems in humans. Too much light in an apartment shining in from a nearby Street lights & billboard will disturb their sleep.
It also causes headache as when light directly falls into our eyes and affects the sensory nerves.
Also science is being affected by light pollution. Astronomers have no way of observing, or making discoveries with too much light to block the night sky.
Solutions:-
You can lower the amount of light pollution by having lights off when they are not needed. You can also shield yourself from this pollution by putting curtains on a window facing the street or any other disturbing light source.
Light needed in public area with surrounding darks is in the range of 20-100 lux only.

Summer is setting in and such a huge amount of light source in our campus will generate a large source of heat energy which will be further add up by the heat emanating from the Air conditioner.

Outdoor lights are in alarming range and can be categorized as OVER ILLUMINATION in our residential campus and its result are easily visible that most of the birds like parrots and sparrows which were the common sights is now not visible anymore and disappeared. We will also be sinner of bird’s eyes as they are getting blinds.

It is better to be sensitive and must rise above our personal need and greed to think about our mother earth, nature and its habitat which make the universe a place to live. If people like us will not be responsible then whom we will expect to do all these works for the betterment of future generation

A SHORT VISIT TO SAGAR (SAUGAR),M.P,INDIA

Our recent visit to Sagar,a city in Madya Pradesh,India on a personal family celebration was an occasion to visit and know about this city very closely. Earlier, during my childhood days it was the city introduced to me by the name of SAGAR UNIVERSITY which was founded by Sh HARI SINGH GAUR in July 18,1946.

The main campus of the university is in Sagar City on Patharia hills, sprawling over 830.3 hectares of land, and the university also has several affiliated colleges and a distance education wing. A medical college is being built to train students in the field of medical science.

Sagar (Saugor),is a city in Madhya Pradesh state of central India in a picturesque situation on a spur of the Vindhya Range and 1758 ft. above sea-level, and around 180 km northeast of state capital, Bhopal.
Its original name 'Saugor' is an amalgamation of two words namely 'SAU' meaning 100 and 'GARH' meaning forts, as there were countless small-forts in this region. With time the name has changed from 'Saugor' to 'Sagar'
The ancient Indian kingdom of Chedi had its capital as "Suktimati", which is located in Sagar in contemporary times. History of Sagar District was not known before 1022 A.D., after that all the records are available.Firstly, Sagar was under the rule of Ahir Rajas and their capital was at "Garhpehra". in 1660 A.D. Udenshah founded the present Sagar Town.Sagar owes its importance to having been made the capital of the Maratha governor Govind Pant Bundele who established himself here in 1735.
During the Revolt of 1857 the whole district was in the possession of the rebels, except the town and fort, in which the British were shut up for eight months, until relieved by Sir Hugh Rose. The rebels were totally defeated and British rule restored by March 1858.
Sagar is a handsomely built university town with great natural beauty and cultural heritage. Hindi is the official language of the city, while Bundelkhandi is the local dialect. Sagar is well known for its contribution to Hindi literature and hosts a number of writers, poets and other leading artists in their respective fields. The city, known as the Heart of Madhya Pradesh, and MADHYA PRADESH itself is the heart of India. So sagar Can be considered as "THE HEART OF INDIA". The Lakha Banjara lake is in the middle of the city and This beautiful city is situated around it. The city is surrounded by a beautiful ring of small mountains. In The rainy season it totally transforms into a GREEN-VALLEY.
The region is popular on India's tourism scene, due to its cultural heritage and diversity. Some places of interest in and around Sagar are the Rahatgarh Waterfalls, Garhphra Mountains and Temples, and Khimlasa Forts.

Sagar is developing into an industrial area with many new corporate industries setting up their plants within the city. Sagar has an army cantonment unit. The city, known as the Heart of Madhya Pradesh, has a very good transportation network, with the railway system and national highways connecting it with all major cities across India. The nearest airport to the city is at Bhopal, the capital of the state of Madhya Pradesh.
