REPLACEMENT OF FAN BLADE

Removal of Fan Blade 

Job set up-

PULLER,VYNYLE TAPE,ANTI SEIZE COMPOUND,AEROKROIL and Vaseline.

AMM72-21-20-000/400-801-A

To start the job, one has to identify the N1 blade and then mark the number of each blade ccw Fwd looking Aft.

The Blade which is to be removed to be kept at 6 O’clock position.

You can refer this example below:-

Observed some X-mm cracks on Engine 1 Blade No xx,

Blade No xx and opposite blade #YY removed as per AMM

For removal 

Step 1:-Spinner is removed by the use of bit No 27 TQ 67 to 74l f-in

AMM 72-21-40-100/400-801-A

Step2:-Remove the platform front shroud by the use of 5/16 bit

AMM 72-21-60-000/400-801-A

 TQ 109 to 120 lbf.in(18bolts)

Step3:-Both side FAN BLADE PLATFORM are pushed downward by placing the Blade at 6 O Clock psn.

Step 4:-remove the spacer by pulling it in fwd direction

Step 5:- Remove the lock plate 

Step 6:- Remove the Blade

For installation of the Fan Blade refer the applicable AMM as mentioned above.

Infact the reverse process,

Install the Fan Blade followed by spacer and Lock plate.Further to front lock platform and spinner.
