BIRD HIT Is totally unpredictable, required unscheduled maintenance and incur huge loss to company and the industry.

As many as 8 such Bird hits were reported as of date causing cancellation, disruptions and  movement of men and materials to domestic as well as international stations.é

L/M engineers who are under extreme pressure other than main maintenance base during this period; his  own decisions matter and he can save million of rupees if the decision of Groundings and/or not Groundings are taken quickly.Delayed decision results in Crew DTL, inconvenience to our passengers.Hereunder there are few guidelines which can be referred for quick decisions though always follow applicable AMM/TSM.

Check the related PFR,
If the pilot reports of Engine Stall,Engine parameter change/exceeded or smells in air-conditioned outlet then do the related steps 4.W of the inspection as per AMM
If you do not find the signs of Bird strike or damage during the first step, the aircraft can back into operation.
