FUEL FILTER CLOG Warning-
This was reported at 09 occasions on our A320 fleet which was involved in Delay and even in groundings.

Five cases on A320 fleet,02 cases on A319 and and 02 cases on A321.
In all this cases,snag was rectified by replacing the fuel filter.

We would have been avoided few delays by placing Fuel filters on station like SHJ/ DXB/MCT though it is always better to comply the job of fuel sampling etc meticulously on our fleet as per approved schedule and TCs.

If not; earlier procedure of placing Filter in Hatrack may consider to be adopted.

BIRD HIT:-

Seven cases of Bird hit were reported on our fleet by the end of the last day of October 2019 whereby many flights were affected apart from expenditure incurred in transporting Men,materials and spares for retrieving the aircraft.
Details of affected aircraft are as under:-
CIE/EXR/CIF/EXO/EXK/PPJ/PPV at CCU/MAA/BLR/MAA/PNQ/VTZ/AMD respectively.
EXO was retrieved after replacing Nose Cowl
Airlines looses million of rupees on this account which was otherwise responsibilities lie to the
airport authority.Matter must be taken up with concerned officials.

Snags which appeared in our fleet this month which were repititive in nature or are one of its kind are as under for references:-

EDF stuck up at IMF on dated 01/10/19 due Brake Jammed for which Brake assy was replaced.

EXB was delayed at BAH due Fuel Filter clog on dated 02/10/19 where Fuel Filter was replaced.

SCP at BOM on dated 02/10/2019 held up due AOA probe fault and serviced after replacing ADM.

CIG was delayed at DEL on 06/10/19 for Eng2 sensor fault for which N1soeed sensor was replaced.

SCG was held up at BOM on 06/10 due Elevator servo fault.
Initially SEC2 and SEC3 were interchanged but snag persisted.Finally snag was clear after cleaning the connector of RY servo Valve 34CE2.

EXV was involved in an incident when it was diverted to MCT on dated 12/10 after ENG. 1 IDG LO OIL PR warning followed by Z"oil qty on engine page".On detailed investigation ENG 1 IDG ROTATING SEAL ON AGB found damaged which was replaced and aircraft retrieved from MCT.

PPK on passing flight level 220 had a Overspeed warning with SLAT slightly in extended position on 12/10 at HYD.FWC 1 and FWC2 both were replaced during the rectification.

CIG grounded at MCT on 16/10 due ENG1 not starting.
FMU and EEC A replaced at MCT to rectify the sang.

SCL was held up at IXJ on 17/10 due Air ENG1 BLEED LEAK and unable to start the engines.Finallay aircraft was retrieved by deactivating Pylon sensor as per MEL and sensor was replaced at DEL.

SCM was ready for Take off at BoM on 17/10 when Engine 2 got auto shut down.Aircraft was withdrawn for further investigation and Engine was replaced to service SCM.The subject engine under investigation, awaiting for its finding.

SCR was grounded at RGN on dated 18/10 due EIU 1 fault.EIU was replaced at RGN.

EXR was held up at AMD on dated 20/10 due N1soeed indication OBSD hunting between 25 to 35%.

PPQ was on ground at BOM when a RAT was sighted. Fumigation carried out and aircraft was released thereafter.

SCJ on 23/10 at CCU reported"Engine 2 Stall" for which UO check valve was replaced.

SCG was held up at BOM on dated 23/10 due HYD Y RSVR LO PR during rectification leak was obsd from PTU Y HP port union. Seal was replaced.

SCL was delayed on 26/10 due VHF 1 emitting.Single PTT stuck for which Hand grip assy was replaced.

PPM held up at SHJ on 27/10 due cargo fire bottle discharged.Cargo bottle 1&2 u/s and aircraft was released under MEL26-23-01A.Bottles were replaced on arrival.

PPI at Bom on 28/10 reported abnormal loud noise.On investigation and after BSI,findings were normal.

SCS at DEL on dated 31/10 withdrawn due Engine 2 Stall.

CIG at DEL on dated 31/10 withdrawn initially after reporting the snag of Auto thrust Off.During the process of rectification as per TSM snag was persisted until connector of Junction Box 407vc and 415vc were cleaned and refitted.

Ground Incidents:-
A ground Incidents of pax steps hitting the VT-SCA While getting ready for the flight damaging the Air Intake Door of APU.This was replaced at CCU and aircraft was put in service.

Each ground personnel need to be trained and sensitised about the safety while working on the aircraft or in its vicinity.Such GIs are avoidable which cost huge money to the Airlines and inconvenience to the pax.

APU serviceability:-
Serviceability of APU on our fleet in October was very good and it was almost 96 to 97%.
