REPLACEMENT OF FUEL NOZZLES AFFECTED BY COKING(SB LEAP 1A 73-00-0040-01A-930AD)

Note:-Just for information to Line Engineers.Refer applicable AMM

Objective of this SB is to minimise IFSD,TOA,ATB OR DIVERSIONS due  coking in the Pilot Secondary circuit and the valves of the affected fuel nozzles.

Coking increases with accumulated cycles/hours that result in HOT STREAKS and related engine events as above.

The SB was issued on 07/11/2019 and to be complied on LEAP 1A engines within 60 days of issuance of this SB.

CFM recommends to do the SB every 2000 cycles since the last Fuel Nozzles Replacement or 2000 CSN for new EIS(Entry into service)  LEAP 1A engines.

This SB will need approximately 60 man-hours to do the necessary removal and installation of affected fuel nozzles of the engine.
